Connect with Us to Strengthen Shared Housing

Creating Homes and Changing Lives Together

At the San Diego Shared Housing Collaborative, we believe in the power of the community to foster stable and inclusive housing solutions. By joining forces with organizations like yours, we can create a robust support network that enhances the shared housing system and positively impacts the lives of individuals across San Diego County.

How You Can Work with Us

Become an integral part of our referral network by connecting individuals in need of housing support with the collaborative. By referring participants, you play a crucial role in expanding access to shared housing solutions and promoting housing stability within our community.

Who is Eligible to Participate

  • If you’re working with an adult who is experiencing homelessness, has resources to cover their portion of housing expenses, and is interested in shared housing, they’re eligible! It’s that easy.

  • Shared housing seamlessly integrates with various homeless interventions, including rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, people exiting shelters, and those connecting with outreach teams, as well as all HUD-funded housing (except for Project Based Vouchers).

  • Our collaborative approach ensures that individuals from all populations, including seniors, transitional aged youth, veterans, and adults, can benefit from the stability and support offered by shared housing arrangements. Together, we can tailor shared housing solutions to effectively address the housing challenges faced by different demographics in our community.

Why Work with Us

There are more San Diegans in need of affordable housing than the region can effectively support, making the efforts of supportive services and housing agencies that much more difficult. By working with the San Diego Shared Housing Collaborative, you can help expand housing opportunities for those you serve. Other benefits of the collaborative include:

We support our network through training, resources, and ongoing assistance to ensure the success of shared housing participants and the staff who have their backs.

The collaborative approach aligns with broader community goals and initiatives aimed at ending homelessness, creating affordable housing options, and promoting housing stability for all residents of San Diego County.
